Insane isn't it!?!?! LOL!! I posted lots of pics on my blog too!! I just had a man knock on my door saying he was "out of gas" and asked if he could shovel my driveway for me.. we did some this morning, but it wasn't that great of a job. Regardless, I figure he needs the $$$, so he's out there doing it for me. It'll all be back by tomorrow i'm sure... LOL!!
We had snow like that here (Maryland) last winter and it was like the event of the century. Due to drifts, there were channels dug that came up to my shoulders (and I'm tall) so we could navigate some of the sidewalks. Some cars were completely hidden without even any mounding of snow to indicate where they were. It took weeks for some of these neglected cars to become visible after the snow melted some! I guess that's just another day for you up there!
We're having a weather bomb here. You should see the storm surge, it's crazy! I've never seen one before, and I picked up my landlady so she could see it too! You could see the spray from the waves hitting the rocks from the other side of the rocks, and I'm sure the rocks are 40 feet high! I think I'll go for a walk after and see what it looks like in the dark!
wow I've never been anywhere near that much snow! we thought we had a lot if the ground was covered enough to walk and leave footprints in it! never more than ankle deep! and that's counting crunching down through the grass!
Hi Sis: Your pictures remind me of how our back yard looks right now..I was going to take pictures last week then thought, " I have tons of snow pictures, it buries us up here every year so why bother"..remember us last year, 100 cm. in two days..snuggle up inside with a good book, hot drinks and enjoy..I'm so grateful Jim has a snow blower now..got my high boots out yesterday..might go for a walk using my ski poles in case it's slippery on the roads..but then it's supposed to feel like minus 14 here..staying in looks better all the time..love L.Dee
That's a lot of snow! Snow day tomorrow?
