Snafoo or Human Error?

Through computer, or more likely, human error I have lost a post (and subsequent comments) that I wrote quickly yesterday that included this photo. NLA - you asked if I took the pumpkin picture in my header and yes I did.

All the photos I use are my own except for ones I "borrow"  from a free photo website called Everystockphoto

Heartbeats:
  • I wasn't going to mention this but since you folks are the best I will let you know that I ended up NOT going to the party last night. I drove my daughter to her boyfriend's house (first time she'd been out of the house all week) and when I got home I had a crying jag that left me feeling drained and exhausted. I'm sure most mothers try to keep themselves STRONG for their kids and for those single mothers, like myself, all the stress lands on our shoulders making traumatic events like my daughter's car accident even heavier. But eventually we can't hold it together any longer and last night was my night to "let it all out" while my DP, Michael, listened and loaned me "his shoulders" to lean on. Thank you my dear and thank you for making today a day just "for me".

  • Today my oldest sister is on her way back to PEI for like me she has purchased a house and acreage over near Montague. She is going to supervise the building of a new red metal roof and get the paperwork all straightened out.  Wish I could go with you!

  • Tomorrow Sharon and I are embarking on a ten pound weight loss goal - it's not too late to join us!

  1. Wow, your sister bought a house too! Was that planned or just fate? Although I find it kind of funny that you bought on opposite ends of the island!

  2. can't blame you.this might be a good time to put wine in the budget! I know with my wreck a couple of years ago it hit me really hard a few days later.

  3. Marguerite - yes it is funny isn't it? My sister wanted to live near her husband's brother so didn't look at any other properties except for the one for sale next to his. I had been thinking more along the line of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton or Newfoundland, but once hearing what she was going to pay for the property they bought I began to look for properties on PEI and after looking at 4 other properties (2 not far from her) I fell in love with #5, near Alberton. So we're close, but not too close:)

  6. I had a moment just like yours last week. Sometimes things get too tough and you need a good cry. Hope you are feeling better.

Well, this morning I got on the scale, and saw the damage that has occurred over the last six months. A 10 lb loss is definitely needed...but "by accident" I made my favorite cookies today....Can I start tomorrow???

  7. Maureen - yes it is SCARY now that it's November - made even scarier by the fact that I saw a Christmas commercial on TV today - I am so not prepared and I'm sure it's the last thing on YOUR mind as the days until the BIG DAY grow fewer and fewer. I'm getting excited for you!

  8. By accident? Too funny Sharon! Hey, this is going to take awhile -one day more or less isn't going to make a difference so begin tomorrow, the next day it's all good:) Just get rid of those cookies lol. Course now you've got me thinking of warm, homemade cookies.....yum!

  9. Oh, don't forget me! I am joining the weight-loss goal. See the little artsy drawing of me on my blog? I don't look QUITE like that - I don't think I could button that waistband. When I started letting out the top button and loosening the belt not only for driving but just for sitting around the house and now for walking around, I knew it was time to take action.

  10. p.s. Yes, of course we put on the strong face for our kids and the second they are out of the room we break down crying. I hope you cried it all out and will go back to feeling "normal" soon enough. Great shoulders to cry on are a must so you've got that one covered!
