My Brain is on Holidays...

I find I am in need of a break. I have been down in the dumps lately - feeling pressured, sad and out of sorts. At work I have been doing double duty as my dep't head has been out of town helping to care for her sick mother. And I just found out that her mother has passed away. A hard time of year to lose a loved one.

So as this busy week unfolds I am going to write less often, if at all. When the blog starts to feel like just another task among the many to be accomplished each day - it's time for a rest.

But first I want to say a special thank you to Carla, a fellow blogger and a very sweet woman from my home town of London.  I received a nice little treat in the mail on Friday, and that was quite a surprise!

Thanks Carla - I certainly wasn't expecting another parcel in the mail so you really made my day!

See you all soon!

  10. Jane, hope things get better, such sad news about your friend's mother.

Just to say I've added your name to the sealed pot challengers list on my blog. If you let me know what your saving for I'll add that to or even put to be decided if you're not sure yet.

    Hugs

  11. Jane,
Everyone needs down time and it can help us to mentally recharge. I know where you are coming from.
I was pumped for Christmas, now I just want to get it over with and start a New Year. Ya it's the down in the dumps thing.
We have so much to do for the big day and extra work loads before the big day it can become overwhelming.
Relax and take some time out.
Merry Christmas to you and your family in case you don't post till after the holidays.

  12. I know how you feel, I have just dragged up my socks and am trying to get into the spirit.
I love the day itself but all the consumeriism and waste drives me crazy.
Sit back, have a glass of wine and grab a good book!!
    Merry Christmas!

  15. Jane! REST! (and, if you don't feel like cycling for a while, it would give me a good chance in catching up!) :)!

Seriously, I hope you can find some time just for you. This time of year gets C.R.A.Z.Y. plus, S.A.D. seems to go around with all the dark days....

We'll be right here when you return! :)!
