overspent a little bit. I was out finishing my Christmas shopping - yay, I'm done - when all of a sudden I was hit by the...
spirit of Christmas.
I stood still for a few minutes waiting to see if it would pass. Nope, still feeling generous. I analyzed my feelings carefully...was I trying to keep up with the Joneses? Uh uh, no way, I don't even know them.
So I went with it and bought a few extra gifts - for my neighbour, who bless her heart has been a gramma to Kazi all of these years, for Michael because I found something I hope he LOVES, for Kazi which is also a gift for ME because she's always taking MY umbrella - I found one with a lifetime warranty!! And a little sumpin sumpin for me because I love ME too!
Anybody in need of anything while I'm feeling so generous??
Did you have $100 to spare?
ReplyDeleteNo seriously! Good for you! I can't wait till the year I can go all out for everyone.
I could just use a hug. Won't cost ya nuthin'.
ReplyDeleteI'm good, but I am very happy you got a little extra sumpin' sumpin' for yourself!
ReplyDeleteLOL I wanna know what the little sumpin sumpin is
ReplyDeleteNew neighbours, willing to move??
ReplyDeleteTis the season isn't it?! lol! Since you asked, I would love a nice pair of warm mittens!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI went wild today too - knew I shouldn't have gone into that teacher supply place with all the cool educational games and stuff...sigh...hoo boy. 'nuff said!

Yes, My mind back, if the twelve days of Christmas does not return it!
ReplyDeleteJane,
ReplyDeleteLove the idea that you bought yourself a little sumpin, sumpin.
I'm off today so away I'm going to fight the crowds and find me some Christmas spirit. Wish me luck.
If your feeling so generous, I could use a babysitter so I can get some much needed sleep!
ReplyDeleteScratch that, I could use some time added on to my days for that sleep...
Seriously, good job on keeping the feelings to a spending limit.
When you get down here, I could stand a nice back rub. m.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't beat myself up about it. Enjoy the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to surprise people with a little something :)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Good to see you treating everyone!
ReplyDeleteOnce that spirit comes, it's hard to ward it off. It isn't really Christmas if you don't splurge a little, especially in the name of others.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure everybody will love the extra surprises. As for me, well, feel like springing for a new roof? too much, okay, I'll settle for a delightfully written post on how to better safe my money so I can buy that new roof.
