Thank You

Hi everyone. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you out there who have supported me with kind words and offers of help, whether it be to offer your home to me or a shoulder to cry on, to go for a coffee or just stunned shock.

I appreciate each and every offer, every supportive word, every cyber hug, every email from some of you who are unable to comment. Why is that anyway?

Right now I have nothing figured out. I want to take my blog in a different direction but not sure what that will be yet. Unfortunately I ended up with the flu also so I really was down and out for awhile. I haven't been out of the house since Christmas Day but am going to attempt going to the grocery store tomorrow morning and to a friend's house for New Year's Eve tomorrow night. Nothing too strenuous. The flu was mostly in my respiratory system - lots of thick coughing, fever and chills, headache and body aches. I still have a bit of a cough but not too bad and am over the chills etc. I guess my immune system was pretty non-existent.

Again, I've made no decisions. But there are some obvious areas I need to work on. These include:
1. Health and Fitness
2. Renos and redecorating
3. Preparing for Retirement

I have started thinking about #1.  Tomorrow I am starting on a 5 day juice fast. I recently watched "Fat, Sick and Almost Dead" on Netflix about a fellow from Australia who went on a 60 day juice fast because he was obese and on many medications due to the diseases he had developed by being obese. He was able to rid himself of all medications, drop a large amount of weight and become physically active again. I have also researched somewhere close to school where I can join a beginner's yoga class. And I have researched a place close by where I can treat myself to a spa day.

I'm not kidding myself that doing these things will change my life but I have to do something and start somewhere and where better to start than on myself.

LOVE you guys!!

  3. Well I almost didn't know where I was! LOVE the new look Jane! I'm so sorry you were sick. It's never fun to be flu-ridden. I still have nightmares about last year's flu. I was sick for three weeks. Ugh. (And I still haven't gotten a flu shot!)

    Renovations can be very exhausting. Hopefully you don't have much more to do!

    You can always come visit me in Virginia! Would LOVE to have you!! I'm looking forward to seeing you come out WAY ahead with the lemons that were handed to you....YOU CAN DO IT!! :)! {{hugs}}

  4. Jane, I can't wait to see you this summer. I keep thinking how you can do this or do that with regards to your PEI place and your condo. And then I get all excited with other ideas that pop in my head that you could benefit from, having the best of both worlds. This will get easier with time.. you know this in your heart, right? Look at our mutual friend... she had a mess on her hands and now she's blissfully happy. You've heard the saying... "it's always darkest before dawn"... it's just a season.

    Take good care of yourself. It's no wonder you got sick with everything all happening at once. It's a lot to deal with. But I know you're a fighter. I know you're going to land on your feet. And so do you.

    I'm glad you're making efforts to get out and be with friends. It's good.

  5. I'm always here for you. Maybe you could turn the P.I.E. place into a rental cottage by putting a smaller unit on the land, but really don't do anything for a while just be. I have had the flu also, coughing my lungs out and wetting my pants it is lovely.

There's magic in this Forest...come and visit, my friend! Be gentle with yourself XOXO

  11. I thought I was fat thumbs again and clicked the wrong spot! I like the new digs! That sucks about the flu. Glad you have come through and get to have some days off not in bed. I am interested in your juice fast. I have thought about doing one too. Thought that documentary was very good. Hope that your days get better! Still sending lots of good thoughts to you!
