What Happens When You Rush the Season (and by you I mean me)

I know, I know, I promised.

But if I don't laugh at myself...well then I'll just break down and cry!

  1. Jane! This is funny! Actually, I may be showing the same pictures tomorrow morning as it's suppose to snow tonight and tomorrow. Insane as we've been having temps of high 50's 60's and even 70's. Our cherry blossom trees are in full bloom! I hope it's a fluke and we will be spared the snow. Rain would be just fine.

    Here's hoping Spring comes soon!

    Global warming....bah humbug.

  2. It's wishful thinking, and I totally commiserate! It was t-shirt weather here a week ago and gradually got more yucky till frost was on the cars in the morning. I saw snow flurries the other day. If there had been enough clouds, we'd have a dumping of snow, too. Finally, our heat started running again after being silent for a while. Darn bills! Darn cold feet! I have a headache today due to warm/cold weather switches. I want my warm weather back!

  3. I'm an April baby. I know better than to think winter is done. We usually get another snow storm thingy in April so I'm not even changing my snow tires until May 1.

Maybe this year it'll be snow free on my birthday.

  4. .7 degree rise since they first started tracking weather (England, not North America). And most of this temperature flux happens in the winter....kind of funny huh???

It is freezing here, or maybe just feels that way after those warm days with the windows open. It is definitely harder to see these 30's after that.

Snow, at least in the Chicago area is normal this time of year. They say we will see flurries today...

  5. Good morning Jane.
Well, yes, it happened. One inch of snow sits on my grill and my deck furniture. UGH!

  7. Honey, I feel your pain. I'm so sick of this winter. It is just so cold here(North of Chicago) I can't stand it anymore.
Hope you have a great weekend!

  8. It thankfully didn't snow here, I am not trying to brag, just really happy that we didn't get more. I think I would have cried. I don't mind waking up to frost on the ground. At this point snow and winter can suck it!

  10. Well at least you have snow! We've had so little snow in the Colorado foothills that wildfires are already breaking out.

  14. LOL! Too funny. We just got about an inch of snow yesterday, too. I just set up my outdoor office area (sans roof) three days ago. I haven't had the heart to go outside and look at it yet. Your pictures were enough of a preview for me! I think I might go sit in the corner and cry. LOL

  15. We've been in the deep freeze, a good 10ÂșC below normal, for about a week now. Only snowed a little bit once but the winds have been strong so drifting snow was a problem on the main routes around these rural areas.

Hang in there. You know it won't stick around long, right? I'm still looking at 3 to 4 ft snow banks along the driveway and the thaw just came to a full stop. Bleh.
